On April, 4-8 2022, Tristan Berchoux, Professor of Rural Geography and Gis, in Montpellier, France completed a cycle of open lectures with the students of “Fan S. Noli” University. The first lecture was held under the topic “Observating landscape for characterization” with students of Master study programs in “History-Geography”, within the course “Natural and cultural landscape and the use of Gis / RS”. Students of “Bachelor study programs and professors of this department, as well as students of the Faculty of Agriculture, interested in gaining more knowledge, in this field participated in this lecture.
Tristan Berchoux is a lecturer in rural geography at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier in France (CIHEAM Montpellier) and part of the UMR TETIS research laboratory. His research and studies are focused on the field of spatial planning and sustainable rural development. It studies the impact of climate change on landscapes and livelihoods according to different policy scenarios, using spatial modeling.
The cooperation for mobility of students and staff between the French universities and the “Fan S. Noli” University can be further expanded in the future.
