The proposed project “Advancing quality higher education in Western Balkans through facilitating AI Integration in Teaching, Learning and
Research” [EDUFAIR] is highly relevant in the context of Albania and Kosovo* because both countries are in the process of modernizing their education systems and transitioning to a knowledge-based economy. The use of AI in teaching, learning, and research has the potential to enhance the
quality of higher education, increase efficiency, and better prepare students for the job market, as well as increase the inclusiveness of education through digital technologies. The overall Aim of the EDUFAIR Project is: “To advance quality higher education in the Western Balkans by facilitating the integration of Artificial Intelligence in teaching, learning, and research, enhancing digital competencies, and fostering inclusive educational practices.”
The specific objectives of the project EDUFAIR are:
SO1 – To strengthen the AI integration in teaching, learning, and research by developing and implementing inclusive digital strategies for five universities in Albania and Kosovo, facilitating exchange visits and study tours to bolster understanding and application of AI, and promoting international collaboration in the academic sphere. SO2 – To enhance the digital competencies of faculty and students in participating institutions by creating and implementing training programs and resources focused on digital skills and AI literacy, equipping them for a digitally transformed higher
educational landscape and labor market. SO3: To foster dialogue and engage and network with a broad range of stakeholders in the Quadruple Helix model, emphasizing the collaborative digitalization of higher education for robust social and economic development
