The project will be managed by the Limerick Institute of Technology in Ireland. Tempus is the European Union’s programme which supports the modernisation of higher education in the Partner Countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Western Balkans and the Mediterranean region, mainly through university cooperation projects. LIT Library will lead a project involving 12 other higher education institutions in Romania, Greece, United Kingdom, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro & Kosovo to develop Information Literacy (IL) for lifelong learning. The project will see the development of IL programs for lifelong learning and their use in curricula, development of innovative online IL modules for lifelong learning and the coherence between the IL programs with those currently active in Western Balkan countries.
