BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES OF THE FACULTY OF ECONOMY<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\" The Faculty of Economy was established in 1992 and the first students graduated in 1996. The transitions of the Albanian economy into a market economy made the foundation of this faculty of crucial importance in offering the accurate practical and theoretical professional instruction in the perception of the new system. The Faculty of Economics provides four study programs:<\/p>\n

•             Finance<\/p>\n

•             Management<\/p>\n

•             Marketing<\/p>\n

•             Tourism<\/p>\n

Each of them offers rich up-to-date knowledge in accordance with the nature of the market economy developing in our country in the fields of Tourism, Marketing, Management and Finance.<\/p>\n

Some of the main courses provided in these branches are:<\/p>\n

Micro and Macroeconomics, Mathematics, Introduction to Business, Marketing and Tourism, Informatics, Principles of Marketing, Financial Accounting, Foreign Languages, Introduction to Finance, Production and Distribution of Touristic Product, Hotels and their Management, Financial Management, Management  and Organization Theories, International Marketing, Financial Computerization, etc.<\/p>\n

Some of the above-mentioned courses are common for all branches of this faculty.<\/p>\n

•             NATIONAL  AND  INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Faculty of Economics has established close contacts with other national universities and scientific institutions in Tirana, Vlora, Shkodra, etc. Our faculty is an active and serious partner in various international projects with homolog faculties of western universities, such as: France, the USA, Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria, etc. worth considering is the collaboration with TEI Thessaloniki, Kozani, Follorina, etc.<\/p>\n

The Faculty of Economics provides four Bachelor study programs in academic year 2015-2016:<\/p>\n

•           Finance – Accounting<\/p>\n

•           Management<\/p>\n

•           Business Administration in Marketing<\/p>\n

•           Business Administration in Tourism<\/p>\n

In the academic year 2009 – 2010 was opened in the city of Pogradec , a branch of The University of Korça in the study program of Tourism.<\/p>\n

In the academic year 2014-2015 in the Faculty of Economics are opened the Master study programs in:<\/p>\n

•             Professional Master in Business Administration<\/p>\n

•             Professional Master in  Finance – Accounting<\/p>\n

•             Professional Master in  Marketing<\/p>\n

•             Professional Master in  Tourism<\/p>\n

•             Master of Science in “Business Administration in Tourism and Hospitality”<\/p>\n

•             Master of Science in “Finance"<\/p>\n
