STUDENTS TRANSFERS

The transfer procedures are realized according to the Articles 72, 74, 75 and 76 of the Regulation of Studies of the University “Fan S. Noli” and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Sports.

– University of Korça accepts transfers of students in intermediate years from other universities in the same program or forms of study and allows the removal of its students at other universities, according to the procedures laid down in the Regulation of the university.

– Transfer is possible after the completion of the recognition of study periods and equivalence of knowledge from the Commission of Recognition and Equivalence in Department.

– Procedures of transfers are completed before the starting of the new academic year.

Criteria for transfer

• Criteria 1- The student requires transfer to the same or similar study program in the field of study from which he/she is transferred, offered by a public university, approved by MES (max. 10 points).
• Criteria 2- The university recognizes at least 30 credits from the
• equivalence of knowledge in the study program in which he is transferred
• (max.15 points)
• Criteria 3 – The student has taken over 30% of the corresponding credits in
• the curriculum of each year (max. 15 points)
• Criteria 4 – Over 40% of equivalented subjects are specialty subjects (each
• subject of special formation 2 points)
• Criteria 5 – Average grade of State Graduation (for each 0.1 grade above
• the grade 6, the student acquires 0.2-point max. 10 points)

Application for second programs of study:

The student wins the right to register in a second study program in the same form as defined in proposals for quota and study fees.

Application criteria.

Criteria 1. The student applies for a study program of the same cycle he was graduated

(20 points)

Criteria 2. The applicant’s file is complete (10 points).

Article 72

Transfers

1. UK accepts transfers of students in intermediate years from other universities in the same program or forms of study and allows the removal of its students at other universities, according to the procedures laid down in this Regulation.

2. Transfer is possible after the completion of the recognition of study periods and equivalence.

3. Procedures of transfers are completed before the starting of the new academic year.

4. The decision of full or partial recognition of accumulated credits by a student in order to continue the studies is under the authority of the Faculty that accepts the student, according to the criteria set out in the statute and in this regulation.
